OSHAN is a 15 seater omakase restaurant in South Yarra, offering a unique, personalised dining experience in an intimate setting. Whilst not guaranteed, we can take limited bookings per day with limited walk-ins also available daily. Reservations are not limited to 2 hour seatings so that you can slow down and savour the experience. 

Chef Peterson’s omakase menu is inspired by fresh ideas and fresh seasonal produce so please be aware that price variations do occur.

Reservations are reserved for both the Dining Room and the Chef’s Sushi Bar, both of which enjoy the same menu and experience.

Surcharges of 10% on Saturday & Sundays and 15% on public holidays apply to the total bill.

We welcome diners of all ages, however please note we do not offer a children’s menu or provide high chairs. 

Out of courtesy your booking time has been carefully coordinated so that we can provide the best experience possible. We request a prompt arrival time and to please call us if you are running late. We will hold your table for 30 minutes before letting it go. 

If we are unable to take your booking on your preferred date, please sign up to our waiting list so we can share 

our omakase experience with you another day.

Limitations and minimums apply to group bookings due to our intimate dining space.

Our space can also be reserved exclusively for your dining event. Minimums apply.

CANCELLATIONS

Due to our intimate setting and limited seating, the below notice periods are required for all cancellations, no shows, date changes and reduction of diners. Relevant charges are incurred for notice given outside of these periods.

Bookings up to 5 people: 

Notice less than 48 hours will incur a charge of $85 (lunch) or $155 (dinner) per person. Notification in writing outside of 48 hours will not incur a cancellation fee. Please email info@oshancontemporarysushi.com.au.

Group Bookings of 6-9 people:

Cancellation in writing within 7 days and outside of 72 hours of your booking will incur a charge of $75 per person.

Notice less than 72 hours will incur a charge of $155 (lunch/dinner) per person.
